SpecMatch follows standard server log file procedures. When you access our programmatic benchmark matrices, edge nodes automatically log standard technical telemetry, including: IP address (anonymized at edge), browser user-agent, operating system, timestamp of request, and referring pages. This data is used exclusively to diagnose routing errors and protect against malicious traffic.
2. Privacy-Preserving Analytics (Cloudflare)
We prioritize developer privacy. We do not use third-party behavioral ad trackers or fingerprinting cookies. We utilize privacy-first edge analytics (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics) to aggregate page views and core web vitals without collecting personally identifiable information (PII) or profiling visitors across external websites.
3. Affiliate & Outbound Links
SpecMatch provides outbound links to hardware vendors, search engines, and marketplaces (such as Amazon) to assist engineers in reviewing real-time retail pricing and component specifications. When monetization is enabled, outbound merchant links may append an affiliate referral tag that awards a small commission on qualifying purchases at zero extra cost to the user.
These external merchant websites operate under their own independent terms and privacy practices.
