Telemetry Standards // Version 1.0

Benchmark Methodology & Standards

SpecMatch bridges the gap between theoretical hardware spec sheets and practical engineering workloads. Our telemetry models synthesize verified silicon architectures with empirical memory pressure, instruction set support, and thermal dissipation thresholds.

1. Memory Overhead

We measure cold boot and peak heap utilization across toolchains (JVMs, Docker VM overhead, Swift AST indexing, and VRAM staging). We monitor page faults and swap thrashing to ensure zero UI freezes.

2. Thermal Sustained Load

Short burst benchmarks misrepresent reality. We record package temperatures and frequency throttling curves over continuous 20+ minute compilations, 3D renders, and quantized LLM inference loops.

3. Silicon Architecture

We analyze hardware compatibility at the microarchitecture layer: AVX-512 vectorization, Apple Silicon Unified Memory bandwidth, Tensor Core precision, and integrated NPU matrix execution.

Standardized Verdict Classifications
RECOMMENDED (PASS)
Flawless runtime stability. Zero swap thrashing, sustained thermal clocks within safe TDP envelope, and smooth developer frame rates.
RUNS WITH LIMITATIONS (CAVEAT)
Functional for casual or small project scopes. Heavy multitasking, 4K rendering, or massive microservice suites cause memory pressure or clock throttling.
NOT RECOMMENDED / INCOMPATIBLE
Silicon lacks minimum instruction sets, VRAM allocation triggers Out-Of-Memory crashes, or performance falls below minimum threshold for professional use.
